What TRT is (and isn't)

TRT is a prescription treatment considered through an individual evaluation by a licensed clinician. Testing may be obtained or reviewed when clinically indicated. Symptoms like low energy, reduced libido, and difficulty building muscle can have many causes — low testosterone is only one of them, which is why a real clinical evaluation comes first.

TRT is not an anti-aging treatment. Testosterone products are not FDA-approved for low testosterone due solely to aging, and no responsible clinic should promise you'll "feel 25 again." What we can promise is a careful, evidence-based evaluation and honest guidance about whether treatment makes sense for you.

Risks and side effects

TRT can carry risks, including acne, increased red blood cell count (polycythemia), effects on fertility, breast tissue changes, and cardiovascular considerations your clinician will discuss with you. Part of responsible treatment is reviewing these openly and monitoring for them with labs.

Testosterone therapy suppresses sperm production in most men, sometimes significantly. If current or future fertility matters to you, tell your clinician — it directly affects whether and how treatment should be designed.

What the process looks like

1. Health intake. Share symptoms, goals, history, and relevant records; AI helps organize the information for clinician review.
2. Records and testing. Your clinician reviews available results and decides whether additional labs are clinically indicated.
3. Telehealth visit. A live, secure appointment with a licensed clinician — by video for your first evaluation — to review your health information, symptoms, and goals.
4. Personalized treatment plan. Your clinician explains the next steps, which may include treatment, follow-up, further testing, a referral, or no prescription.
5. Monitoring. When ongoing care is appropriate, your clinician sets a follow-up plan that may include labs and check-ins.

Is online TRT legal in Utah?

Yes — with real requirements. Utah telehealth law holds online providers to the same standard of care as in-person clinics and prohibits prescribing based solely on an online questionnaire. Testosterone is also a Schedule III controlled substance, and additional federal and state prescribing rules apply. Federal rules currently allow it to be prescribed after a live video visit, without an in-person exam, through December 31, 2026. If that changes, we will tell patients before their next prescription what they need to do.
